2026 Class Project
Arts District Mural
The Leadership Hermosa Beach Class of 2026 brought new energy and visibility to the Cypress Arts District through the creation of a vibrant public mural at 601 Cypress Avenue. Designed and painted by a local South Bay muralist, the artwork was inspired by the district’s unique mix of galleries, music studios, makers, and creative businesses. The mural celebrates the neighborhood’s artistic identity while inviting residents and visitors to discover a side of Hermosa Beach where art, culture, and innovation come together. More than a work of public art, the project was an investment in the future of the Arts District as a welcoming and connected creative community. The class brought together local businesses, artists, sponsors, volunteers, and community members to support the mural and celebrate its unveiling in June 2026. The finished piece serves as a colorful landmark and a lasting reflection of what Leadership Hermosa Beach is all about: collaboration, civic pride, and creating a meaningful legacy for the community.
